Miller’s Quarterly is an occasional (not really quarterly…) web-log for one off stories, trying out new ideas, experiments and works in progress in comics. Most will be mine (hence the name…)but if there are any readers out there…and furthermore, any readers out there who wish to submit stuff to go up on the site, I’d be delighted to hear from you.
What kind of stuff? I like strips that explore and test the rules of comics, makes a virtue of their simplicity, and are committed to the ideas or stories they want to express. That covers a potentially, very wide range of work, which is probably as it should be. Along the way I’ll be putting up links and notes to things I love, like and admire that will give a further clue as to what kind of comicsĀ Miller’s Quarterly deals in.
This is not a serial web comic, so please don’t expect weekly updates (I am full of admiration for those who can do this)! Updates will be occasional, as the fit, or the work takes me, so please subscribe so you can be notified of the latest strips to go up. For a while I’ll be going through my back catalogue of unused strips, but will be turning out new strips here and there.
As for myself, I am a writer, and editor of The Drouth. I am also behind an ongoing illustration project called Glasgow Dialectograms - please check it out!
Happy Reading!
Mitch Miller
